Alysha Wagley

It is my pleasure to teach English and Social Studies at Animas High School. I graduated from Animas High School as Alysha Massey in 1994. Following graduation I attended NMSU for one year in the Agriculture department before transferring to WNMU in Silver City to receive my BS in Secondary Education with endorsements in Language Arts and Social Studies.

I returned home to do my student teaching at AHS in 1997, and then took time off to have three energetic boys, Rayce, Ty and Coy, with my husband Sam. They are my pride and joy and defiantly keep me busy. My husband Sam works on my family farm here in Animas. We also have a partnership with my brother and cousin on our own farm. We are fifth generation farmers in this county. I returned to teaching in 2004 and have loved every minute of it. I also enjoy sponsoring numerous student activities and organizations.

In addition, I am proud to be an active member of the Animas Chapter - Omega Alpha of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International (ESA). We are a women's service organization dedicated to helping others.
