Employment/Activities in Technology

1999-Current. Technology Specialist Animas Public Schools.

Responsibilities include:
1.
Sharing knowledge of district computer hardware and software with staff and students in one-on-one, small group or large group settings.
2.
Computer repair and troubleshooting.
3.
Advising staff members, as needed or requested, on how to improve their use of technology to enhance student learning.
4.
Introducing new technology to staff.
5.
Recommending purchase of desired technology and software.
6.
Installing new software and hardware.
7.
Certified Follett technician. (Library technology system)
8.
Update School Web Page as needed.

Animated Bar

1999-Current. Instructor and member of the Bootheel Consortium. This is a federally funded organization of several school districts that have banned together to train pre-service and in-service teachers and school staff.  I also instruct many different workshops through the Bootheel. http://www.bootheel.org/

1999-Current. Instructor of on going computer training provided by RETA (Regional Education Training Association). Teachers/staff may earn 3 college credits from NMSU by attending 6 separate RETA workshops.  http://reta.nmsu.edu/

Participate in on-line collaboration through e-groups.

1997-Current. On-going training provided by the District for Computer Technicians that include.

1. Continuing training in Win School (our districts Student Database program).

2. Various workshops in Computer Repair and Trouble Shooting.

3. Continuing training in the Jostens Learning Company programs used for our students, grades K-8. This is a reinforcement of subject learning such as math, reading, language, science, etc.
