DISCIPLINE PLAN

  In order to guarantee your child and all the students in my classroom an excellent learning environment,  I am using the following assertive discipline plan.

MY CLASS RULES:
1.  Listen carefully.
2.  Follow directions.
3.  Work quietly.  Do not disturb others who are working.
4.  Respect others.  Be kind with your words and actions.
5.  Respect school and personal property.
6.  Work and play safely.

IF A STUDENT CHOOSES TO BREAK A RULE:

1st  Consequence - *Yellow - Receives a verbal warning
2nd Consequence - *Red     - Sits in Time-Out for ten minutes, removed from instruction 
                                               or group activities
3rd Consequence - *Black   - Gives up one recess
4th Consequence - *Orange - Student calls mom or dad at home or work
5th Consequence - *Pink     - Severe Disruption - Sent to Principal
Severe Clause:  Send to Principal Immediately

STUDENTS WHO BEHAVE WILL EARN:
1. Verbal praise.
2. Happy face on Behavior Folder
3. Small prize at the end of each week

BEHAVIOR FOLDER:
  Students should have a behavior folder in their backpack each day - please expect this folder.  The folder should give you an idea of how your child is behaving in school.  Please sign it each day and return it.
