Notebooks will be due in all classes on random dates for the next two weeks.
US History: Students just finished studying World War II and her studying the Cold War and will be doing the Julius and Ethel Rosenberg Trial—who were tried and convicted and put to death for spying.
World History: Students just finished studying Vietnam and the Civil Rights Era and are now studying They are now studying world events such as the Korean War and how it relates to modern times (9-11) with a web quest.
Economics: Students have been studying the different types of business and their Business Plans for a Business that would work in Hidalgo County are due this week. They created PowerPoint’s.
Current Events: Students blog on current events and work on finding the Who, What, When, Where, and Why in teacher selected stories.
Mock Trial: Students mentor (Big Brother Big Sister) on Wednesdays in the Elementary and the other days they are studying Family and Consumer Law.
National Honor Society Fundraiser on May 2 for Valley Telephone—Great success. National Honor Society Induction and Installation of Officers May 4. New Members inducted Jaci Hatch, Chea Moore, and Channing Moore.
