Jody was born in Safford, Arizona in 1960 to Jim and Jane Bailey. She attended school in Lordsburg and graduated with honors in 1978. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson and received a BA degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. She earned her MA degree in Special Education from Western New Mexico University in 1992 and has accumulated 49 hours above that. She has three boys, Robert Dale, Joseph Robert, and Christopher Patrick and a beautiful granddaughter, Kyla. She lives in Playas, NM with her 2 youngest boys. Her hobbies include reading, needlework, genealogy, arrowhead hunting, 4-wheeling, scrapbooking, bowling, cooking and computers. She also works parttime for her parents in the auction business. She lives in Playas, NM and has taught in Animas for 20 years.
