Karla Stinehart was born in Anaco, Venezuela and raised on a ranch between T or C and Socorro.  She graduated from Hot Springs High School in 1987 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1992 from New Mexico State University.  She taught for twelve years in the El Paso, Moriarty, and Estancia districts.  She has taught second, fourth, fifth, special education, and gifted.  She received her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership in May of 2004 from University of New Mexico.

Karla and her husband Rob enjoy traveling to music festivals around the southwest.
