I am currently teaching World History, United States History, Government & Economics, financial Lietracy and Mock Trial for high school students at Animas, New Mexico. I was a member of the first class to graduate in the new high school building in 1978. I then married my high school sweetheart Billy Davenport and had three wonderful children. Billy died in May of 1999. Cody, my oldest is working for the Sierra Vista Electric Cooperative as a lineman. He is married to Brittany Young and they have a daughter named Laikyn. Cody also has another daughter named Emily and she lives in Deming. Destiny graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Agriculture Education and Extension. She is married to Justin Rodriquez and they live in Cloudcroft, NM. Sky, my youngest, is a Sophomore at Animas High School. I graduated from Western New Mexico University in 1989 with a B.A. in Secondary Education and I received a Master of Arts in Teaching from WNMU in 1993. I have my administrators' license and I also have my coaching license. I coach Mock Trial, sponsor National Honor Society, and my students participate in the National History Day competition each year. I am head of the Student Assistance Team (SAT) at Animas Public Schools.
Some of My Hobbies When I am not doing school stuff I like to read, shop and go dancing. I especially like to watch Sky play all tree sports and do her 4-H activities.
