Mr. Winkler's
History
Richard Winkler was born in Hinsdale, Illinois. He was raised in Apache, Arizona where he went to school in District #42 from 2nd to 8th grade. He then went to Animas High School where he graduated in 1984. He became a NMSU undergrad from 1984 to 1989. His teaching career began in Clifton, AZ. Next he went to Las Cruces, NM, then Cliff, NM, and now he teaches back in Animas where it all began. |

Mr. Winkler teaches 6th grade general science, 7th grade Life Science, 8th grade Earth Science. Mr. Winkler coaches HS Football and JV Basketball. |

His Family
and Hobbies
Mr. Winkler is marrid to Tamara and has a son named Zachary and a daughter named Parker. They own a small ranch near the Rodeo area. He enjoys coaching and doing research history on the Animas Valley. |
