As my first review I decided to start out strong. Fallout 3 has to be one of the best games out there right now, as long as you have 100+ hours to spend on it, that is. The world is a post apocalyptic world with a 1950’s overtone? Yeah it may sound odd, to say the least, but surprisingly, it works well. You start out as a newborn to vault 101, an underground vault made to shelter its inhabitants from the dangers of the surface. As you age you will be developing your character along the way. When you're 18 years old you find out that your father, for some unexplainable reason, left the vault without telling you. So according to video game logic, you chase after him. A dark tunnel and a bright light later…Welcome to the surface, Capital Wasteland. The game incorporates an amazingly designed targeting system called V.A.T.S. which freezes game play to allow you to target specific limbs of an enemy. This is not a core fps. It is fully an rpg game with leveling, skill building, character development, and story line. Players who buy this game because of the fact that it’s a shooter will be disappointed to find out that it’s a game that requires time and patience to enjoy. This game will plunge you into a amazing world that will keep you coming back for more, time and time again.
